Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 5, 2021 – Concept Machine, a Midwestern US capital goods and consumables distributor, has closed on its acquisition of B.C. MacDonald & Co. and its subsidiary Metrology Center. Concept Machine sells and services specialty machine tools, measuring and gaging equipment, and additive manufacturing equipment along with related consumables across six states. B.C. MacDonald sells and services measuring and gaging equipment, specialized cutting tools, and cutting fluids and coolants across four states.

Astrophysicist claims to have invented time machine

Time travel may soon be possible, according to an astrophysicist who believes he’s worked out a way to build a time machine.

Professor Ron Mallett from the University of Connecticut in the US claims to have written a scientific equation that could be used to create a device that takes people back in time.

The Physics expert told CNN that he’s already built a prototype to illustrate how the key component of his machine would work.

Philips recalls ventilators, sleep apnea machines due to health risks

Dutch medical equipment company Philips has recalled some breathing devices and ventilators because of a foam part that might degrade and become toxic, potentially causing cancer, it said on Monday.

Foam used to dampen the machines’ sound can degrade and emit small particles that irritate airways, the group said as it announced the recall. Gases released by the degrading foam may also be toxic or carry cancer risks.
